Using your favourite metaphor, describe the most important lesson that you had learnt in your EIR journey.


The most important lesson that I had learnt in EIR lesson is to learn what is advanced search and how to use it. An advanced search give user an advance option to search more detailed for the results by minimizing the search options. Advanced search option provides a lot of options for the user to select to search more accurately and have more relevant results. Advanced search also gives users some different ways for searching and users can choose the best way to search their topic.
Now, I Write a paragraph summarizing my findings on my research topic.
My research topic is -- "Impact of online gaming on youth ". As we all know that online gaming is a hot issue, it is becoming the most popular activity around the world, especially with youth. Online gaming has both harmful and beneficial effects. If people use the right way and attitude to approach online gaming, they will avoid the harmful effects, and thus make online gaming become more beneficial. Youth is the future's hope, so we need pay more attention on them.

Let me share what i have learned when I am using different search facilities to search for resources related to my topic: The three search facilities, Google, Metacrawler and Yahoo Directory are equally useful as a search engine. The similarities of the three search engines are that they use a short period to search the results. It is fast. The users can search with the keyword. All of them have a sponsored listing for each result and give the number of results to users. These three search engines have advanced search, it helps the users to search with more convenience and accuracy.


However, they also have some differences. For my topic (impact of online gaming on youth), Google can find 2,010,000 results in 0.23 seconds; Yahoo directory use 0.36 second find about 494 results for the topic; Metacrawler only find 52 results for the topic and do not show the period of searching time. From these data, we can find that Google has a wider range of search results and short searching period with regard to my topic, it gives me more choices; Yahoo and Metacrawler have minimized search results. I only choose Google and Metacrawler for my search engine, because I can only find useful results for my topic in these search engines.

There are other differences of the three-search engine. Yahoo directory has related directory categories, but Google and Meta search engine does not. Users can select the categories to know more information about the topic. However, Google and Meta search engine give different types of searches, such as web, video, but yahoo directory only can search in the directory type. Meta search engine gives the users preferences for searching, and gives the results from all the other search engines. Google and Meta search engine give the users similar results of topic, it can help the user search more information about the topic.

I am very like to collaborating on wiki with my classmates who share similar research topic as me. Because I find when we sharing with each other, we can find more information about my topic and I can learn different opinions from different views about my topic.It is a very good way to learn more and make my presentation better.

If I have enough time, enough money, I will travel a lot of places. These are my dream place. So nice ,so beautiful. Haha~!

Sydney Opera House:












My first destination is Sydney Opera House.

It is a very famous place in Sydney, it is also a very famous performing arts center in the world. so, the first thing that I begin to my travel is to hear a real musical in Sydney Opera House. I will relax my mind first, and hear the world voice.

Milan:













The second destination is Milan.

Milan is a fashion place. In the world ,the good costume design are all from Milan. I want to go to see "The world fashion eye" . I will shopping and visit different shops in Milan, and feel the fashion in the world.


Cambridge University:











The third destination is Cambridge University.

As we all know, cambridge university is one of the most famous and best university in the world. When I was very young, i have heard about cambridge university, it is a high education and high learning ability school. This is my dream university. I will go to my dream university to see the school life in cambridge university and the students how to study in cambridge university. I think it is very useful for my future study .

Fuji:










The forth destination is Fuji.

The most famouse place in Japan is Fuji. I will go to Fuji to see the traditional in Japan, and the beautiful sakura. Ha ha ~! At the top of the Fuji mountain, there are snow cover the mountain all the year. Fuji mountain is a age-old volcano, I was learned some geography about Fuji mountain when I was in high school. The soil of the Fuji mountain is very fertile. So the crop under the Fuji mountain are very good.




Aegean Sea:












The last destination for my traveling is Agean Sea.

Aegean Sea is a very romantic place. As my last destination, I want to take a fresh breathe and fell the romantic air. Feeling the romantic air and the most beautiful sea in the world ,It will be a good way to end my nice travel~!

New week~!

Tomorrow is a new week, after two weeks holiday, I will go to school and begin my new school life. haha~!

These two weeks holiday, I feel very happy. Especially in Christmas day, I went to Orchard with my friends and celebrated Christmas with them. There were a lot of people celebrated Christmas together at Orchard at that time . This is my first time to celebrate Christmas with lots of people in Singapore. It gives me a very good memories.

I also feel very relax in these two weeks. I have a lot of time to read online books, to see movies with my friends, to do more physical training. A very good thing for me, I have more time to sleep, haha...

Tomorrow is a new week for studying, I will work harder and do more practice than before.

Nice Food~!

Today ,I went to Orchard with my friends. Then ,I eat Korea food for my lunch . So ,I want to introduce some Korea food in my blog~!

A country of eastern Asia at the southern end of the Korean peninsula.

Korea has a lot of defferent types of food. The main food of Korea is rice, because Korea is a agricultural society in the ancient. Nowadays, Korea food includes vegetables, fish, meat and a lot of different food. Korea food is famous on the special tasting and the nutrition.

Today, I will introduce some Korea food to you:

Bibimbap:

In bibimbap, the bean sprouts is the most important material. They use a very special been sprouts which product in Korea. This kind of been sprouts use a very special water producted, even cook a very long time, the been sprouts also very delicious.

They use the water that is cook the beaf to cook the rice, and eat with raw eggs, beef, been sprouts, spinach, chrysanthemum, bracken, kikyo, cress, mushroom. Korea people like mix them together and eat with some sauce. It will be very beatiful and delicious. It is also very good for people's health, because the chrysanthemum include a lot of vitamin A and Ca.

Thick Soya Bean Soup:

In Korean families, every housewife is very skilled at making this thick soya bean soup. Interestingly, it has a slightly different taste in each family. There is nothing better than this steaming hot thick soya bean soup in the winter, filled with a mother's love. The thick soya bean soup a daily necessity in korea.

Korea people always like to eat this soup with shrimp and mushroom. It tastes a little bit acid and spicy . It is very delicious and appetizer.

Roast Beef:

As usual, people eat the roast beef around a charcoal fire. So the roast beef called a "warm stpve party", and it is very popular. Roast beef is the trademark of Korea food.

Korea people like eat roast beef with brazel, asparagus and leather bean. Leather bean. Leather been have a lot of vitamin C, so it can add the vitamins which the beef have not. So it is very good for health.

Korea New Year Cake:

Liking the name , Korea people always like eat Korea new year cake during Korea new ywar. They use ketchup and chili sause to cook this food, so it is very beatiful. This food means happy because the colour of the food is red. It is not very sweet, also not very spicy, very suitable for people's health.

Kimchee (Korean Pickled Vegetables):

Pickled vegetables is the one most important foods in Korea, called "kimchee" in Korean. They eat it every meal, and it goes with many other foods. Whether in the big city of Seoul or in the countryside, in the courtyard or on the balcony, one is sure to find a pickled vegetable pot. The pickled vegetables are made from the fresh vegetables, such as cabbage, radish, peppet, garlic, onion and so on. And all of these vegetables are rich in vitamins, calclum and phosphorus, providing lots of nutrition. Because pickled vegetables are in keeping with the principles of nutrition, it is also called " an ancient food for the future".

New Movie--MULAN~!

Recently, there are a lot of good movies were showed in cinema. Yesterday, I went to cinema to saw a movie named "MULAN" with my friends.

MULAN is a very good Chinese movie. The actors and actrees are very famous in China ,such as Chengkun ,Zhaowei, Hujun ect. I like the characters of Mulan. Her father is very old and has disease, so she go to the army instead her father when the country needs a lot of people go to the war. But in the ancient China, only male can go to the army and fight with the enemy and female go to the army is illegal. If they find someone is female in th army , not herself , the whole village which her lived , all of the people must be killed. But Mulan do not afraid ,she is very brave and love her own country , she uses her knowledge win again and agian in the wars . The only thing in her mind is to protect her country.

Mulan is a female heros in Chinese history , she is very brave, filial, clever... She never say "give up" even she faces a very difficult situation. This girl , uses her life to protect her country. In the wars, she uses her blood to protect the country , after wars , she must sacrifice her love to protect her country. In the end, for herself ,the only good thing is that she can go to home and live with her father.

I am very proud of Mulan ,I am very proud of this movie .I am very proud of China , because China has a lot of people like Mulan ,we all love our country very much.
